God’s Life-long “Prescriptions”

Last week in a video I discussed that sometimes when God doesn’t heal, He’s doing something greater than if He would instantly heal someone in a moment.

The truth is, God is always in the process of our sanctification. (making us more like Jesus)

Salvation is FREE and only requires our acceptance. We cannot save ourselves. Without Jesus we are as helpless as someone tied up at the bottom of the deepest, darkest pit. There is no way out without HELP.

Sanctification requires our participation. We submit our will to God and He makes us more like Jesus. We take on HIS desires for us and He transforms us.

I was thinking about how He does this in our lives every day and this is what came out of it. ♥️

The Physician

I know a skilled surgeon

Who diagnoses perfectly every ail

His targeted remedy

Always cures without fail

You need not complain to Him

To receive the healing you seek

Just sit in His presence

No matter how wounded or weak

I must warn you, my friend!

Follow all procedures to a "T"

They are different from what you have known

But will heal...you'll see

He'll look you over

Don't worry if your ills seem too bad

You've come to Him early

And for that, He is glad!!

Surgery will be long

And definitely not free of pain

But worth every moment

For the strength and health you will gain

You'll be awake for this surgery

Is that something I forgot to say?

You'll be living life by His prescriptions

Continually day after day

Transformation seems slow

But your new lease on life is secure

If you choose this Physician

And His ways to endure

Our symptoms may differ

But somehow, our formulas do not

This is my prescription

For the diseases I've caught...

The Physician said to me...

"I'm changing your diet,

You MUST feed on my Word!

This lack of worth you have

Is wrong and absurd!

Nourish your heart and soul

With how greatly you are cherished

Renew your mind with my love

Let every worthless thought perish!

I'm prescribing prayer for your pain

You have a systemic infection

It started with offense and unforgiveness

And turned into deception

Yes, it's a massive bottle!

This prescription is life long!

Be diligent every day

And soon you'll be strong

I have sad news

There is a growth and it's cancer

But stay calm and listen

Because I do have an answer

The tumor of self

I'll painstakingly cut away

For it was syphoning your strength

Slowly and surely, every day

With its deadly desires

Contrary to what's true

It's been killing you quietly

And you never knew

Remain in my care

You'll stay cancer free

Keep consistent with this therapy

Of seeing yourself through me

Your cataracts are horrendous

They completely cloud your vision!

They obscure your path

And influence your decisions

Ungratefulness makes them grow

Thankfulness makes them shrink

This cure is completely up to you

Since you choose on what you think

Oh, about exercise...

I know you don't want that!

But I am going to force some on you

So you don't get lazy and fat

I'm sending difficult people

So your muscles of patience will strengthen

The tendons of kindness and love

Will be toned, stretched and lengthened

This will limber you up

To get you ready for service

Start with the first prescription

Then you will find your purpose"

So that's what He said

Do those remedies apply to you?

They are easy to read

But hard to fill and carry through

So I asked of His fee

"I can't afford such continuous care!!!"

Tears filled His wise eyes

As I stopped and openly stared

"Your fee was paid

Before you were born

My Son bled and died

After He was beaten and scorned

He knew you'd be sick

And upon Himself took all disease!

The fee has been paid

For all who willingly believe"

I left His office that day

Not sure how to start

I wept and fell to my knees

"Oh Physician! Give me your Son's heart!"

I love you, dear friends.

Live every moment knowing you are DEEPLY loved by God and me.

He is for you.

In passionate purpose,

Dorothy
